Their manager Jack Brand has other ideas: a new recording and a lucrative tour to satisfy Sun’s ardent fans and stymie the snooping tabloid press. Manon Valen keeps her secrets as she adjusts to the new reality of Earth, but Robin Wood has secrets too. Will Sun keep their promise to go back to Arethea? Can they even return?

Colin Clought languishes in Taihandria, tied by his secret varashti to the young Queen Periclea. All he wants is a quiet few months until his bandmates arrive to take him home. But serious trouble is brewing as the Antares Braggen manipulates his allies, political and magical, and builds a formidable war machine to march on Taihlos.

ReviewS
Music and magic, the stuff of a great novel! This book is wonderful! The detail in the story line, the characters and the setting all make for a fantastic fantasy read!
Amazon.ca reviewer

There is something for everyone, with political intrigue, mystery, romance and humour. The characters are believable and likeable, and the story lines are intriguing. I found myself saying “Just a few more pages....” as often as I did when I was a kid (and yawning my way through the next day as my reward for staying up too late, just as I did when I was a kid!).
Like Daram before it, Varashti weaves a complex and engaging tale about the confluence of time and magic and the transformative power of art. The authors have succeeded in conveying through detailed, satisfying descriptions the immensity of their world while still drawing us into the intimate stories of characters so well fleshed out that they feel more like friends now to the reader.
